Think Like a Poet, Work Like a Bookkeeper

The most successful scientist thinks like a poet — wide-ranging, sometimes fantastical — and works like a bookkeeper.

Motivation from E.O. Wilson in The Meaning of Human Existence.

  1. “The Meaning of Human Existence,” now there’s a good book! Wilson is endlessly quotable and as sharp as he’s ever been. I’ve been a huge fan of his work since he has, in his later years, departed from academic writing and began publishing his own, personal philosophy.
